It's a gigantic spear gun, but I would say at $300 a bit on the high-priced side. Since you're new to spearfishing I'd believe it would be a more recommendation to start with a JBL Explorer or another speargun at about half the premium. That way you get a unintentional to try out your skills and learn the divertissement without spending positively so much the ready.
