Some 2,800 people saw the show, at the Pretentious Palais, a great flaunt of weak colors and bleary bad dresses against a unsullied pebbled deposit and hyacinthine terraces. The garden extended in three directions, with a well in the center, and a full orchestra set up at the end of one allee.
